Happy October! The month of gorgeous leaves and pumpkin patches!
Legacy Concert, Sun Oct 26, 4pm | Please mark your calendars for our Fall Teachers Concert! We will be showcasing local music teacher talent (Ms. Elizabeth included!), as well as some special student performances, including the Sakata brothers from EMS! We will be raising funds for college scholarships, tuition assistance for under-privileged students, and monies to help students participate in educational events. There will be yummy treats, fantastic entertainment, and a silent auction! Entrance is free, with a suggested donation of $20.
Our Admin Team is Growing! | We are so excited to announce some new team roles to serve you better, as I step out of these roles and focus on bigger picture business development!

New Woodwinds Teacher! | Meet Ms. Hollianne, clarinet and flute teacher! Do you know students that would like to up their game in school band? Reach out to us if you would like to learn more!
New Sales Tax on Live Presentations, Oct 1, 2025 | Yes, you read that right, Washington State has passed a law imposing sales tax on group music lessons, festivals, competitions, master classes, etc. Help us fight back and argue that families do not need this tax on their children’s music education! See my email on Sept 25 for pre-written letters and contact information for the appropriate legislators. Unless this tax is reversed, this tax will affect future Festivals, Competitions, and Master Classes, and all Let’s Play Music and Sound Beginnings classes (current students LPM/SB students will not see this additional deduction until April 1st).
