We are headed into an exciting season of “March Madness,” and no, we’re not talking about basketball! 🙂 We’ve got Syllabus season, the Music Artistry Program for voice and piano, the FIRST EVER Clark County piano competition, and Ms. Elizabeth gets to attend the national MTNA conference in Chicago, celebrating 150 years of the Music Teachers National Association! It’s a full and exciting month! Read on!

High School + Adult Choir | Our choir is gaining momentum! The choir will be teaming up with the big production shows on May 30th, singing fun tunes like Rolling in the Deep, Bohemian Rhapsody, a fun tune from Sister Act, and a great spoof on Mr. JS Bach – all with live full bands! If you’re interested, come try us out for free!
– Adult Choir (High School + Adults) | Mondays, 7-8:30pm
– Tuition is FREE for the first month! Come try us out!

New Programs (Drums, Jazz Piano, Cello) | Our piano, guitar, and voice programs are very well known in the East Vancouver area, but did you also know that we offer drums, jazz piano, and cello?
– Mr. Charles comes to us with 20 years teaching experience in all arenas – private education, public schools, percussion ensembles, and everything in between! He has played and seen it all – and such a huge blessing to our musical community. He currently has just FOUR slots left on Tuesdays and Thursdays!!
– Mr. Jamie is an extremely accomplished cellist and pianist, having performed in orchestras for decades and currently working on his Syllabus Level 10 exam! Mr. Jamie is currently working on Thursdays and excited to share his JOY for music with this generation of students.

Private Lessons

Music Artistry Program (Piano), Mar 7-8 at EMS | Meet with a master judge for a 30 minute private lesson and perform two songs of your choice (bonus, if you just did Syllabus or are preparing for Syllabus, then you already have two pieces!). Registration Deadline is Jan 23.

Music Artistry Program (Voice), Mar 14-15 at EMS | Meet with a master judge for a 30 minute private lesson and perform two songs of your choice (one can be musical theatre!). Registration Deadline is Jan 30.

My three sons have been taking piano lessons at EMS for the past six years, and it has been an incredible experience for our family. While EMS is an outstanding music school, the recitals and festivals have been especially valuable in helping them build confidence and develop their performance skills. Ms. Elizabeth is exceptionally kind and truly passionate about music education. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and joy for teaching piano are evident in every lesson, and her commitment to her students is unmatched. This program provides and excellent base for a child's musical development. I feel my kids understanding of music theory gained from Let's Play Music will allow them to pursue any instrument they desire in the future. She inspires the kids to be curious and to put in the work. As a lifelong musician myself, I wish I had something like this when I was younger. Our youngest has taken piano lessons for two year and has learned a ton from her teacher (currently Ms. Jean).  Our son just started drum lessons from Mr. Charles a few months ago.
