Parent's Notes

Happy New Year! What an amazing time to reflect and count our many blessings! We are so thankful to have you join us on our upcoming adventures for 2026, including launching another new space, four new classrooms, and several new programs to better serve our community! Thank you for being a part of our music community 🙂

Christmas Recitals Recap | Wow, what a fun and special time to champion our EMS students! We are SO PROUD of the hard work and dedication exhibited by our students. We had almost 200 students perform, over 8 recitals, and 5 days. Next year, all Christmas recitals will be held at our new performance space at EMS! This will greatly reduce logistics and location confusion!

Inclement Weather Policies – Private Lessons | Winter is here, so it’s a good time to review our inclement weather policies! We do NOT cancel classes based on inclement weather, HOWEVER, if you (or your teacher!) feels unsafe driving in current conditions, then classes will be moved to online. Just contact your teacher and let them know you’d like to switch to an online class for that day.

Inclement Weather Policies – SB + LPM | We cannot move a group class to online! If your teacher feels it’s necessary to cancel class that day, we will add an additional class into Spring Semester and update the calendar accordingly.

EMS Expansion, Feb 2026 | We’re moving forward like a freight train on our new expansion, which is scheduled to open February 2026. We’re currently pre-booking for our new teachers! If you’d like a slot, grab them now by emailing info@emscamas.com. We’re still in the hiring process for another advanced piano teacher. What an exciting time!

Summer Camps | Oh yes, it may be New Year’s Day, but we’re already excited for summer! Summer Camp registration will open February 1st and we have several new options available for our younger 5-10 year old students!

Private Lessons

Musical Theatre Festival, Jan 31-Feb 1 | Our favorite voice event of the year! Come join us for a special festival focused on the great musical theatre! Registration Deadline is Jan 9.

Music Artistry Program (Voice), Feb 28-Mar 1 | Meet with a master judge for a 30 minute private lesson and perform two songs of your choice (one can be musical theatre!). Registration Deadline is Jan 30.

Lower Division Spring Syllabus (Levels 1-6), Feb 28-Mar 1 | Let your hard work be recognized and pass those levels! :)

Music Artistry Program (Piano), Mar 7-8 | Meet with a master judge for a 30 minute private lesson and perform two songs of your choice (bonus, if you just did Syllabus or are preparing for Syllabus, then you already have two pieces!). Registration Deadline is Jan 23.

Let's Play Music/Sound Beginnings

Sound Beginnings (Ages 0-4) | Winter Semester begins the week of February 2nd. Reserve your seat and class materials here! Registration is NOW OPEN!

Let's Play Music (Ages 4-6) | Years 2 and 3, mark your calendars for our fun and celebratory Station Day, the week of January 26th! Always a great time spending quality time making fun music with your child :) We hope you all are having fun playing special holiday music from your new Christmas books!

My three sons have been taking piano lessons at EMS for the past six years, and it has been an incredible experience for our family. While EMS is an outstanding music school, the recitals and festivals have been especially valuable in helping them build confidence and develop their performance skills. Ms. Elizabeth is exceptionally kind and truly passionate about music education. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and joy for teaching piano are evident in every lesson, and her commitment to her students is unmatched. This program provides and excellent base for a child's musical development. I feel my kids understanding of music theory gained from Let's Play Music will allow them to pursue any instrument they desire in the future. She inspires the kids to be curious and to put in the work. As a lifelong musician myself, I wish I had something like this when I was younger. Our youngest has taken piano lessons for two year and has learned a ton from her teacher (currently Ms. Jean).  Our son just started drum lessons from Mr. Charles a few months ago.
